Trilogy pshhhh, try octology! Why of course you can! An annual release worth waiting for!
This offering comes but once a year and honestly it’s always worth the wait. From the Ross and Squib distillery in Indiana this dram is a blend high rye mashbill bourbons. 91% is 10 years in age and the remaining 9% is a honkin 17 years old. This bottle is handsome as all get out. In between the squared shoulders sits an art deco chest piece sure to drive any Great Gatsby fan wild. Viscous and amber this bourbon greets the nose with a bit of the old musty dusty. Just underneath that blanket of age is a delightful cherry. The pallet follows suit starting with a zip of sweet cherry that twists into a sour finish. This 101 proof dandy is the bourbon equivalent to an inverted sour patch kid and I’m here for it. So where does this whiskey fit in my bar? This is a most flexible bottle. Special occasions to everyday sipper at $99 (suggested),.but found for less is a great pickup. Cheers!
